Hi

I have my Laptop connected to my samsung lcd tv using a VGA cable and an audio lead.
Problem is I cant get any sound from the tv, I have it going from my headphone output into the tv's audio input.
Are there any other settings that need to be changed?

Thanks

Is it the VGA sound input and not the RCA one ur pluggin it into?

What leads you using exactly and what LCD TV is it?

Hi

I've tried the audio sockets next to the VGA input and there was no sound, these are labeled audio out.
The tv is a 26" Samsung LCD.
Here is the back of the tv.

I will try and get a picture of all the inputs and post it.
Yeah plz do, usually you have like a EXT channel for VGA+audio (3.5mm jack).
Also have a look in the manual.

That's not very intuitive now is it...? Eh... There probably are different audio inputs for the tuner and the VGA/DVI source. Be sure the correct one is being used. Who knows, could there be a menu that lets you select which video source uses with audio source?

How about those RCA plugs by the VGA connection? Do they provide any sound? A RCA to heaphone is a simple conversion, so that might be worth investing in, if that does give you audio...

But the best source for answers would definetly be the manual :P

Already said that

There is a AUDIO 3.5mm jack (i think, pic not to clear) to the left of the VGA cable, im sure thats the one you need to plug into.

If there is no sound, go though the TV menu and see if there are any options to enable it.

Cheers, looks like I need to get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm lead. I have a 3.5mm to RCA at the moment.

Thanks for the help
