No sound from new motherboard

hey guys, new to this forum and having some difficulties
i baught a new motherboard P5GC-MX series
new graphics card Leadtek Winfast PX8400GS TDH Extreme
and ive installed all drivers yet no sound

is there something on m ute that i dont know about?
please help.

Reboot your PC, and press the button to get into bios

(usually F1, F10 or DEL)

Look around the menu's till you find 'onboard audio controller' and make sure its enabled.
 
Could be possible that it's defective and the audio just doesn't work. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Also, do you have it connected to audio connectors on your case? Does sound come from there?

You might see if there are any BIOS or driver updates.
