I have a problem with the following:

When logged in as a user in Windows 2000 there is no sound but when I log in as an administrator there is. What gives?

Settings are the same, speakers obviously work.........

Click start->control panel->sounds
Then click on the sounds and go through there and check the ones you want are there

If im not mistaken, polcity editor rules can remove the ability for such sounds for "lesser" accounts.
