No sound XP Pro

I currently have no sound/ no sound devices after installing XP Pro x32.

I have an Nvidia chip set (model number MCP61) so im having a hard time finding a driver to fix my no sound problem.

I need to find out if my motherboard can even run XP pro since I downgraded from Vista Premium x32 on a HP stock motherboard.

Is it possible to even find drivers that will be compatible with this Nvidia chip set from HP also on the HP site I was looking for drivers but it said the HP pavillion desktop( m8400f ) that Xp drivers are not supported.

Any suggestions?

Thank you :)

THe reason you cannot see the device is because you haven't installed the motherboard chipset drivers. Please download PC Wizard from my sig, install and run it, then go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Then copy the text out of that file into this thread.

btw i know you are joking, stranglehold, Kamikaze pilots wore helmets because that is how they heard the radio communications... simple.

thanks, i actaually figured it out last night :)

I needed 2 set of drivers for some reason but it worked

2 sets... you needed high definition audio bus first and then you needed the actual sound driver. A lot of people don't realize that the high definition audio bus driver must be installed first in order for the system to even recognize that you have a sound card.
