No Stand by option on Win XP

Folks,

I am at my wits end trying to get my laptop to allow stand by mode. I even reloaded the operating system to no avail. option idsfaded out and inactive.

Have u checked your video drivers? I had that same problem, thats how i fixed mine

It happens with me once,
when I have downloaded the Tuner on My PC
usualy it is problem of drivers and hardware that affect on ur PC

set a timer for standy in the power options, also you may have the option to switch to standby or hibernate alternates when you shutdown theres three options standby shutdown and restart.
