no success integrating windows & linux??

Hello

its been very long since i have been trying to search for proper way to connect windows and linux environment but no success. can anybody please give me links or explain me how in detailed info. i have read lot of article searched google etc but there all them are very confusing some say use samba some said use LDAP some said to use 3rd party tools but still its all messy as there is not a universal way, i know i know i dont have much exp thats why i came to this forum so that people who have more exp than me can help me out. thanks alot
 
What exactly are you meaning by "connect windows and Linux"?

To me that says your trying to set up a VM, but also might be a dual boot question. Either way, if you can tell us what your trying to do, we can help you to do it.
