No video after formatting

Acer PIII 900mhz/256mb. Everytime it completes formatting and it does its reboot the screen comes up blank. Have tried several hd's, and operating systems all with the same results. Even tried a different video card with no luck. I am about to tear my hair out here, any ideas?

Could you describe the process you use when formatting the drive? Go with the newest OS you've tried... A format shouldn't give you any problems so I'm quite baffled as well.

Both of my 2000 and xp cd's boot from the cd on startup, press any key to begin, delete any exsisting windows version, format to NTFS, it loads the windows op system and when it says please remove cd and reboot, thats when the screen comes up blank. I have tried this with several hd's with no luck. I hope you can think of something, my brain is fried

So it's once you totally finish the install? Hmm... Have you tried another monitor? Or...try this... Boot in VGA mode. If it comes up, go to display proporties and try to manually set the resolution and colors to something you're sure the monitor can handle(perhaps 800x600) I don't beleive it'll take effect in VGA mode, so reboot and see if it works...
