No video output

i do, the two fans on the card are running when i turn the comp on so i assume that connection is good. I tried moving the card to another slot and nothing, i also put a different vid card in and i still get no video output. I hope that isnt a mother board problem????

(i also used both the DVI and HDMI output on different monitors and tv, still nothing)

Reseat your RAM and your CPU. How have you got your RAM set up? Which bays it is installed in? There are four RAM bays on your board, you need to install the sticks in either (L-R) bay 1 and 3 or bay 2 and 4, if you have two DIMMs.

Might want to check your manual about that, but that's usually how it works.

I have x4 2 gig ram sticks that are all identical on the board so there isnt any empty ones but ill try reseating them anyway, before i reseat my cpu can i ask how that would cause a no video output problem if my cpu was not seated properly?

i also noticed that my keyboard and mouse dont seem to be on ( no lights on the keyboard or the the mouse) however my usb powered speakers do come on and my dvd drive opens and closes when i push the button

Yes i did install the CPU for the first time and no i did not update the BIOS because i cant see anything due to the no video output, this motherboard i have doesnt have intergrated graphics with it, and using another video has the same results (no video output)

Edit Update: i just put my 7850 card in another computer and it worked so now im baffled

So you also bought the board when you bought the 3570k? Do you have a friend with a sandy bridge CPU to test if you need a BIOS upgrade? The 3570k is supported, but only after the P2.10 BIOS.

I would also reset the CMOS battery. Maybe try booting with one stick of RAM at a time.

From reviews on newegg:

They are still shipping the old bios. Simply use the Sandy Bridge processor vs Ivy Bridge.

Ivy Bridge support is not native. I know some have said that this is the fault of the user, but I went back and checked and there was no indication on New Egg's site that it wouldn't work out of the box.

Still not shipping with current Bios to use new IVY processors. Once you email Asrock they will ship a new chip to you rather quickly that will make them work.

If you can get a sandy bridge processor, you can boot up, install the new BIOS, and then install the Ivy Bridge back. Or like the last review says, contact Asrock and they'll send you a new chip. (I'm guessing BIOS chip? Not sure)

This is definitely your problem.

I found the BIOS sticker on the motherboard and it says p2.10 i assume that was the correct version, if that is the case do u think newegg will refund my purchase cause of this problem? cause i have no way for getting a sandybridge cpu. Man i should have just paid for a better motherboard that was went for ivybridge

I have These RAM installed on this motherboard could this be the reason?

I can sell you a z77 board for 75 shipped

Can't sell if he has under 100 posts.

I would definitely call newegg or Asrock and ask what can be done about that. Weird that it says that's the BIOS number and still isn't booting. Do you have a microcenter around you? If yes, you can buy a sandy bridge there, boot, update bios, and then take back the CPU for a full refund.
