download spybot search and destroy to a removable drive, like usb pen drive or similar, then reboot your pc into safe mode, run any anti virus software you have whilst in safe mode, along with spybot, see what happens then

http://www.computerforum.com/24672-hijackthis-logs.html

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Now thast the spywares gone try running adaware and try changing your homepage again.

By the way what is the website it is directing you to?

all differnt sites it wont work it just comes up with zip and winzip i pressed both and nothign happens

Wouldn't normally recommend this, but in your situation it seems like the best option.

Save this url in notepad.
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

Boot into safemode with networking (tap f8 on startup, a menu should appear). Once in safemode with networking, copy and paste the url from notepad and run the scan. Save the log it makes and post it here in your reply.

You might have cured the symptom, but not the cause. After you run this scan we should be able to run the other tools to kill the rest of it.
