Noisy graphics card fan

Hi ppl,
I just had a ATI Radeon 1 Gig card fitted to my ShuttleX today. The fan on it hums as bad as the fan on the old card, the bearings on that fan had gone. Long shot I know but anything I can do except throw the desktop through the window? :(:)

use a program such as Rivatuner to adjust the fan speed settings to suit your need, i was gunna say clean it but if its new theres no point :D. Maybe infest in a new fan or a new graphics card cooler? :) they shouldn't be noisy normally unless the fan is working at 100%, if its working at 100% atm and its on autofan there could be something wrong with the card, maybe the heatsink isnt correctly fitted or something.

What model is the graphics card so i can help? :)

Hi Turbo10 and thanks for your time.
The card model no is HD3650 'Power Color', it cost £64.62 inc VAT.
I would think the card has been correctly fitted, I do trust the shop's repairman.

Sure mate, im not sure if ATI have their own contorl panel so if you download a program called SIW http://www.gtopala.com/ (click Downlaod SIW in green) run it, goto sensors and at the bottom it should say the name of your graphics card and the temp it is running at, i.e. mines running at 44% :) if you need any help just shout :D

Just have to go to your ATI Catalyst Control Center/ATI Overdrive. It shows your temp and has manual fan speed control.

Turbo - I downloaded what you said into my downloads folder then a error box popped up and said the files were corrupted so I removed it
Thanks all the same.

Stranglehold thanks. Where will I find what you said 'ATI Catalyst Control Center/ATI Overdrive'? If you say Device manager then I have been there and clicked every little box with the plus sign with no joy.
