is your pc noisy or quiet?

how i miss my HP desktop :D it is quiet like a laptop! and is still a pretty good computer for its time but i had to sell it cuz is taking up space.

i used to leave pc on 24/7 but now i can't sleep leaving it on unless i leave the room :)

so how quiet or noisy is your pc?

water cooling still makes noise right? just not as much as fan cooling?. ;)

i used this accoustik sound dampening stuff in my pc, it does help, suppose to be the best thats out there...i also used some and wrapped it around my aquarium air pump and i cant even hear it now. the only noise my pc makes is thanks to my 2 raptor hard drives, god thier noisy.
using 120mm size fans with a speed regulator can also help make a world of difference in sound. i used to be into overclocking and noise didnt bother me but now it does for some reason.

mines very quite, and i dont even have a side panal on! yourd think it would be louder that way :/ and trhe only thing noisy is my harddrive when im moving files or loading games and stuff, when im not doing anything its silent.

mine can be loud, louder and loudest. I have a 5000+rpm fan on the front cd bay that i can crank up using my fan controller when my pc gets toasty but that usually stays off for my eardrums sake.

Considering the power of mine and the number of fans(around 12) it's pretty darn quiet. MUCH more quiet than my old Athlon 1.4GHz, even after installing new 80mm fans and a fan controller.

Now I used to leave mine on all the time, or my old one, but the harddrive in it was much more quiet than in this one. My new one clicks pretty loud and if it starts doing something, it'll wake me -.- Otherwise, I could certinally sleep to it. Heck, I sleep with a fan running for a constant sound, so of course my computer would work just fine ;)

Now, if I kill the rear two mobo fans, it'll make it a bit more quiet, but I can also crank up the main case fans and you could hear it thoughout the apartment!

About cool n quiet, I really don't know if it works well or not... Currently, I don't even have it setup on my new system. I had it set up once before, but I really couldn't tell any difference. Plus my mobo has great fan controls and all...

Now my laptop is pretty obvious with it's dynamic MHz switching, but I actually just leave it on 800MHz to save batteries and keep the fan off.

fairly quiet, cant here it if you step outside the room, which is like 3 meters away, but still makes a noise, i dont think any PC could be the true meaning of "silent" though

mine is much quieter now then my old P4 system used to be, but i usually have some background noise from other stuff in my room (radio, fan, ect.) so i cant even hear my pc.

yah, pretty much 95% of the time i have rock blaring out at a million decibels so i dont hear my pc that much, but when i dont have music on then you can hear the slgiht hum, which is surprising considering the amount of CHEAP fans ive got in there.

my pc iss... well in the middle of the noise range. cuz u can hear all 4 of my hd's that i got in it, and fan and hsf. its noticable but not like GERRRRRRRRRRRREKKKKKKKKSHHAHFKDJHDHD so ya, its like sshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
