NOOB question

Maybe,,,,

Hey maybe you could tell us what exactly are the symptoms of your problem. That would help a lot. Then maybe me, or more likely others, could help you out more.

120 gb harddrive
Raidmax black case with the 420watt power supply that came with it

pixal shredder- well i aint sure wat it does but its in most bench mark testing things like- 3dmark01-03-05 and aquamark 3 not sure about 1

you plugged in the extra molex right? the 6600gt should run without it but in 3d mode it will choke

Yes...

It's a type of power connector that you connect to your hard disks or cd drives. It has 4 wires coming into it. For your card, you will need to plug one in in order for it to work properly. So go into your pc (yes inside!) and look whether you have that done. If yes...then I am not sure what's wrong.

well my video card has pixel shredders... you mean yours doesn't? :P

although he knows what a molex is now (told him over PM system a couple days ago) way to confuse the issue by having an sata power dongle in that pic :)

An ATI card eh? You're cut :P

By sheer technicality wouldnt the SATA dongle qualify as a molex as well?

The power supply was't the problem, and its been solved already. The extra power wasn't pluged in
