Hai there sick and tired of money mongering pc shops!!!!! aaargh! I always liked to play comp & mmo games but my fps SUCKS!

Currently running windows vista on packard bell comp and my GC is nvidia geforce 7050/nvidia nforce 610i (hence u can tell i cant translate this ><)

I really really have to get a (cheap) upgrade in the meantime. A) is this one compatible http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37346 and b) shall i get another 1gb of ram? I been badgering my brains trying to understand how it all works!

tyvm! :)

You'll need a better video card then the one you linked to, if you want to play high end games. You'll need like an ati 4600 series card or nvidia 9500 series or higher.

i currently have an nvidia 9800gt it is a pretty decent card. You can get it for roughly around $100. You would be able to run most of the newer games with it. Btw ultra what are your computer specs??

On a Packard you're likely going to be very limited by the power supply that's in it. Before you even think about getting a new card, you need to know what the power supply can handle. I can tell you right now it won't be very much, but if you're lucky you might be able to get a lower end card without having to upgrade.

Also, you had an AGP card picked out (The kind of slot the card fits into). What kind of slot does your motherboard have? AGP is quite old, whereas PCI-E is the currently used technology for GPU's.
