Well if you really in to gamming the lowest card you should get provided it in your budget is a

Geforce 6600GT

Now If you willing to spend more money then

Radeon X800XL

and

Geforce 6800GT

These are great cards and should handle your needs

Now if money means nothing to you and you just want the best aviable right now then you want to go with

Geforce 7800GTX

I would proberly if it within your budget aim for either the geforce 6800GT or Radeon X800XL.

ok....
i want 2 spend about 500-800$ on this comp

What does that $800 have to include? Just the computer? computer and OS? computer OS and monitor? COmputer, OS, monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse?

makes a big difference on what you can afford.

O ok ....dosent thatcome with the comp? i would think so... if not then i need that 2
so wut wil it cost and wut is the best i can get?

$800 will probably buy you a decent tower, but thats it. no use in buying crappy hardware just to afford a monitor, OS, and mouse. What i would do is get hardware first, and just use a crappy trackball and monitor. An OS can be had for maybe $80 on sale (XP Home.) You could wait to use the computer till u can afford the rest...my friend did that, torture, but it works.

No it isn't hard, and pretty much necessary if you want a gamer on that budget.

so wut wil it cost and wut is the best i can get?

OS=Operating system (IE: Windows XP)

Ok well I can give you some specs to aim for

skt 939 AMD Athlon 64 3000+ $146
This is a good CPU that not overly expensive. It should handle you gaming needs fine and it is skt 939 so you can be as up to date as you can be right now.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103537

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra $135
For motherboard you should be looking idearly for something with a nforce4 ultra chipset. This MSI one being one of the best of those.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130484

EVGA nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT $169
The geforce 6600GT being the top of the midline graphic cards. It would proberly be tough but you could try if you want to fit a x800XL or 6800GT into you budget. The x800XL or 6800GT would be better. The 6600GT still a great choise espicially for someone trying to keep the total under $800

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) $82
1 gig of ddr400 pc3200 ram is what you should aim for. For your needs the Value stuff would be perfect. DOes not cost to much still get good performance and you will have plenty of ram.

NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Drive, Black, Model ND-3540A $46
A great DVD burner for not that bad of cost. You can use this drive for all you cd and dvd needs.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152047

Western Digital Special Edition 80GB 7200RPM $58
Good harddrive for very cheap. 80GB should be enough for you unless you do stuff that require alot of space.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-144-122&depa=1

XCLIO XClio 450BL 450W Power Supply $53
Good PSU for not alot of money. SHould have no problem poweing system. It should also be reliable since it made by the same people that makes antec PSU.
http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=17-189-003&depa=0

You can pick any ATX case you want. Try to spend around $50 on the case and you dont need one with a PSU. If it comes with a PSU you should proberly just remove it and add your own.

ALl my parts total cost: ~700

If you choose to not to build your own and buy from a store then use my specs as a guide line of what to look for.

you decide:

nice computer with high end parts, displayed through a TEMPORARY crap monitor that can later be upgraded...

OR...

Crappy computer with low end parts, displayed through a REALLY nice screen...

just an example. its alot easier to buy a $50 monitor and get it replaced, then to try and cut back on all your hardware. The computer is still fast, crappy monitor or nice monitor. Heck, use it on your TV, **** the monitor.

ok ty alot guys... but the thing is i am ONLY gunna game so is ur specs still somethin 2 follow or can i shavesome stuf off?

Sure it's all about personal preference, but dude stop capsing & jumping the gun, the best option IMO (which you btw didn't mention) is to build a balanced system. Hes budget was fairly good so don't panic.

Heck, use it on your TV, **** the monitor.

All I needed to hear...

Yes that is a basic system which will run your games fine.
