Alright, so I'm planning on getting a new computer soon. Except I'm not sure whether I really need a new Monitor. Was thinking of just using my Bravia 26" 720p HDTV, (model: 26M3000).
My new computer will have an ATI 4870 x2. Graphics Card.

I have never really worked with TV's on my PC, so had a few questions..
For one, does the quality of the image compare? for example..if i sit 5feet back or so. Will it be equal, better, or less quality compared to my old Acer AL1913 Monitor?
When making my computer, what should i watch out for. Such as hookups to get best quality and for audio to work through HDMI?
What would be the best resolution for this HDTV? (Aspect Ratio- 16:9, Maximum Resolution: 1366 x 768)
Please offer any other advice as well. Thanks!! :D

TV's are cheaper in their price/size ratio, but they do not nearly match the resolutions of most computer monitors. A 30" HDTV will run 1920x1080, while a 30" monitor will run 2560x1600, and quite a bit of money. Monitors also tend to have a faster response time, so it might help when playing fps. Running a 26" TV on a resolution that would normally fit a 16" monitor doesn't sound like a fun idea, I would just go with using your monitor.

I ran my HDTV as a secondary monitor, so I already had a speaker system and didn't have to worry about streaming audio through the HDMI. Do you have speakers for your computer or are you planning on using the speakers from the TV?
