Hi,
my north bridge chipset fan is kinda noisy and the noise sounds a bit abnormal at time. i've searched the net and some people said that the MSI chipset fan is a bad quality one and so i looked up chipset fan replacements and saw Zalman. At first i was like this is the one i need. In fact, i read that someone suggested it as well. Then i realized that there isn't much space above my chipset fan because of my video card and if u've seen the zalman heat sinks, they're pretty bulky. So i'm wondering if someone could help with a solution...
so key points...
- i have a defective northbridge chipset fan that i think i should replace
- Zalman's heatsink replacements are too bulky (not much clearance space above stock chipset fan)
- the point of this is to reduce noise...
- i'm not looking to replace my video card
