norton liveupdate no longer working

I don't know what happened but I just did a clean install of my computer and now when I'm trying to install Norton AV (corporate edition v 7.6) it won't update the virus definitions. It was working about a month ago before my computer went out of commission.

Any ideas why this has happened now, and what I can do to fix it? It sucks because I don't think any of the free av programs out there are as good as what I have...
 
when you say it wont update the virus definitions, do u mean only that or does it not download any update at all? and check to see if your subscription expired (like buzz said).
 
It's a hacked copy I got from my friend that's worked for the past 4 years. Only the virus definitions aren't downloading.
