Norton question

i bought my laptop in July 26, just a couple months old and practically every time i start it doesn't connect to the internet. I have to click the internet icon and click it to connect.

then Norton says the Wi-Fi driver is outdated, and they can fix it for $69.99 a year. when i scan it it says i have like 19 outdated drivers.

If its true how can a new unit be so outdated?

Or is Norton causing this so i have to pay them to fix it?

it would not surprise me one bit if they were seeing how much greed is in this world these days.

thanks

It sounds like you have a trial version of nortons which means its trying to scare you into buying their software so they make money. It also sounds like you forgot to check the box that says "automatically connect each time" when you enter the password for your wifi.

ive had Norton for well over 10 years,so not new user.
i have checked the start up box,way long time ago.
i have another laptop that starts online every time and the one im talking about go online 50% of the time and shows it trying to go online then fails in the process and i click it to log on manually and it does.
being a new laptop how or why would it have a bad WI FI driver?
if i download a driver for windows 11 will it work on my pc or do i need to find out what driver i have and find an update for it?
