hi folks
this morning i tried running a norton scan, it would not work.
then up popped a message, to uninstall, and, install.
after completion everything was normall, so please would someone explainto me what happened
thank you dave

No need to double post. Someone will get to your answer soon enough. Patience my friend.

I would imagine that one of the program files was bad, so it asked you to uninstall it and re-install it. Nothing more than that.

Anyway, Norton is a system Hog. Go with something better.

to voyagerfan99,
thankyou for your reply, it was not my intention to double post, a shotgun blast across from my home rattled me somewhat and made me double click.
so my friend it would appear norton is not one of your favourites, please enlighten as to what is

i patiently await your reply dave

Norton lets a LOT of stuff slip by. I used it for years before trying McAfee and found dozens of no-no's that Norton gave a pass to. After trying other AV programs to see if it was a fluke, they too found items that Norton had no clue were there.

McAfee, if you use Comcast High-Speed (free with subscription), or if you want to go out and buy the Security Suite. Otherwise, AV is a good free programs.
