Nortons Reinstalling itself

hey guys, every few days the Nortons Antiviurs icon keeps appearing on my desktop. I have NEVER had nortons on my machine at all. everytime I have to go to add/remove to delete the program only to again find it on my desktop the next day. can someone tell me whats going on? i have ran malware bytes software and it has picked up nothing. I have ran my avira antivirus and I deleted a few low risk trojan viruses. what else can be done? thanks in advance.

Are you sure its Norton's? Do you have Shockwave player installed? If so, Norton Security Scan gets installed with it unless you uncheck the option at install time. Look in Add/remove progams for a separate entry and uninstall it.
 
i used to get all sorts of errors but now i am fine. i think you should re-install norton - or if you have norton 2008. e.g. norton 360, internet security - there is a help support thing there which gives you a option for you to get LIVE help from staff at Norton. you can tell them the problem and they can fix your computer via a safe remote control server.
or you can tell them and follow some instructions on how to fix the problem yourself. just click help and support.
 
no i do not have nortons. it mus have been the adobe shockwave update. I used the nortons removal tool and it has not come back. Is everything ok with the LOG? thanks for the assistance.:good:
