sometimes when i bring up a game, such WoW or any CD-Rom game really anything that needs to use the whole screen, I notice that the imaging flickers slightly like it was to try to turn off but it doesn't.
I am wondering what this could be caused by and what all I can do about this. Its hard to describe this without seeing the PC do it so my apologies on that.
I think it might have something to do with what kind of video drive I am using but that is merly a guess on my part.
*yeah and if anyone can move this to the video section that would be much aprechiated sorry had no clue what so ever this was in the wrong area until just now*

Most likely it is changing resolutions, if the game you are playing has a resolution setting lower than native, it will change your res when the game boots, this would cause flickering.

ahh I see, is there anything I can do to less then visual display of when it does this on my laptop?
lol as you can probably tell I am not as computer savvy as I would like to be hopefully I can educate myself better.

well you could go into the game and make sure that its graphics settings have a resolution that matches your monitor. Being a laptop and depending on the game, this could make the game run slow due to the extra processing that the graphics chip has to do, if it doesn't work you could always change it back.
