not charging??

i just upgraded the ram in my laptop so i can put vista on it. i installed the ram and installed vista. but the battery meter says plugged in but not charging. if i unplug my laptop it turns off. whats the problem?
 
I would say check your charger. I had one that went with my laptop, and I had to have the AC side plugged into the side of the computer at just the right angle, or else it would not charge. I ended up buying another charger for it, and that worked, but it cost me 80 bucks. Anyway, I would say check your charger, and jiggle the angle that it is plugged in at, and see if that helps. If not, get back to us and let us know, and we can go from there.
 
i checked the wires and nothing seems to be wrong nor does it do anything but just say plugged in.not charging. i checked that the battery is making full contact and it seems to be. now, how do i check to see that the battery works??
 
find someone else with the same laptop... or get a multimeter and test it.

or go into your local electronics store and ask them if they can test it for you.
