Not detecting hard drive

So I'm putting together a friend's computer, and he has an SSD and a WD HDD. I installed all the chipset drivers and everything, but it is not detecting the hard drive when I go into my computer. But when I right click on the SSD and go to hardware, I see the drive. I also see it in device manager and it says its working properly. Any ideas?

If the drive isn't partitioned or formatted, windows won't see it. Go into disk management and do it. Right click on computer and click on manage, click on disk management on the left. Right click the drive and click on format or something to that effect.

Yeah, I figured that out before this. Never installed a fresh secondary drive like this. Thanks John.
