Ok i recently purchased an nVidia 6600 GT w/ 128 mb of ddr3 mem AGP. After downloadin the newly released BF2 it was hard not to notice that my PC could barely handle the graphics on a minuscle resolution of 800X600 and medium graphics settings! I played HL2 and CS:S with this video card and it ran pretty smoothly, not perfect with a few graphic lag spikes. . . but is this problem becuz I dont have a big enough CPU? I currently have an Intel 2.66 Ghz. too small? or is there something else I should know? thankx guys!
It's an Intel 2.66 and I have a gig of memory, but ill post later tonight once i find out wut type it is, maybe u guys can gimme a selection and i should b able to know
Oops sorry guys. Well now I'm ticked becuz when i bought this machine I asked the guys to put in a gig of memory and they only put in 512 MB!!! It's DDR memory and runs at 333Mhz. And that Processor is an Intel 2.66 SOC 478 CPU, 533 FSB.
In the CPU(Intel 2.6) a Intel Celeron, Or a Intel Petnuim? I would definatly sugest getting another stick of DDR333 RAM 512MB. im sure that would help, allot.
Haha ya well I'm definently gettin a new stick of mem and i have a Pentium with that, sorry left that part out :-/ but still my question hasnt been fully answered, is my 2.6 too small to run the 6600 GT?
