I just installed Windows98, and I also recently installed a 40GB hard drive. for some reason in DOS when I run the directory of the C Drive it says I have used 102,415 bytes, and that 55,648,256 bytes are free. but in Windows when I click on the C Drive it says I have used 454MB and I only have 49MB free. but I have a 40GB hard drive. I wanted to know what could cause this problem, and if I can fix it without reformatting.
