I have Google Pixel 4. The back of the phone has slightly split off from the rest of the phone. I'm pretty sure this is a design flaw with Google Pixel 4 because this is the same reason I replaced my previous Pixel 4.
I haven't dropped it any more than should be reasonable for a person dropping there phone. No other model of phone I've ever had had this issue. I use an OtterBox. Perhaps I have room to improve with a better protector.
I like Pixel 4 because it's relatively small and it has the capability to download eSIM cards.
Despite the broken back piece, nothing is wrong with the operation of the phone. I'm using it to type this. It's been broken like this for at least a month, perhaps much longer. I don't take the protector case off much, so it was most likely broken well before I noticed it.
Btw, the reason I have a Pixel 4 even though it's an older model is because it does everything I need and much less expensive than a brand new model. I bought both my Pixel's off Amazon.
