Not sure what Laptop to get

I am not looking to spend much more than $800 after tax, and I have looked into these two options.. Just wondering if you guys think either of these are good deals.

ASUS K53SV-XP1, Notebook (Mocha Brown) - Intel Core i5-2410M, 15.6" HD (1366x768) LED-backlit, 4GB RAM, 640GB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 1GB, DVD-writer, 802.11b/g/n, Gb LAN, Webcam, HDMI, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 1-year Global Warranty (w/ Bag & Mouse)

That is 699.99. I looked up that video card for gaming and it seemed to be widely considered a good gaming video card.

or

HP 17.3" Intel Core i5-2430M Laptop (G7-1270CA) - Grey

Which includes 6 GB DDR 3 memory instead of 4gb and also instead of Geforce a Nvidia 6740 video card. Everything else is pretty much the same except it is an i5-2430m instead of a 2410.

This one is 679.99.

Which of these laptops are better and is either deal good enough that I should buy it or should I maybe wait until christmas specials?

the asus is a better laptop. HP are junk compared.

I was leaning more towards the Asus due to the fact that the video card seemeed better from what Ive read. I suppose the better question is, would i be able to find a better deal elsewhere?
 
check Newegg, Amazon and Tigerdirect. These deals come and go.
The deals are getting ready to start now for the holidays. Be patient and shop.

I could get this for $920 with taxes and shipping from tiger direct (mind you it is a refurbished item).

There is also someone selling the exact same product on kijiji who he claims it is only a month old. Says he got it as a gift and decided he wanted a desktop instead. I could get it off of him for $850.

What are your thoughts on this pc at this price and would I be safer to pay the extra money and get it off of tiger direct?
