not sure whats going on...need little help please

so Im working on this computer a friend gave to me and it freezes at loadup it freezes on the windows logo, this is running win 7 btw, i ran a chkdsk on it and it found errors and fixed them it said, I have pulled the drive hooked it up via usb to my desktop and ran malwarebytes and found nothing there, it boots up in safe mode no problems ( i am on it right now actually) but still freezes on normal mode, any ideas??
 
its more than just a restart for this one, believe me ive tried a few times a few different things, even tried throwing the win 7 disc in and hitting repair this install and nothing worked for that either
 
Have you tried removing one of the RAM sticks? Do a trial and error test one the RAM and see if this solves anything.
 
so i removed one of the RAM sticks and it booted up fine little slow so i put the RAM back in and it booted up fine, does this sound like it would be a typical issue for that to happen?
 
Are you in normal mode now or still in safe mode? Lets see if there is any infections in play.

Download and Run ComboFix

It could have been the RAM not seated all the way, causing a short...Which would then cause the freeze and a BSOD. :D

It doesnt seem to be doing too bad at the moment im about to attemt turning it off and seeing if it boots up properly right now
 
Yeah, I don't see any issues there. You may want to run the hard drive manufacturers disk diagnostic utility to make sure all the errors are gone. The manufacturers utility actually is a better program to use. Make sure you run the extended test.
