notebook connectivity

I have got a 7 inch notebook (easynotebook) running windows. It detects my wireless network and connects to it but the problems is that when I open internet explorer, it says the page can not be displayed (at the bottom it says cannot find server or DNS error).
Any help would be appreciated.
 
Does it have Ethernet, if it does, plug it in to see if it is a security issue with the main wireless signal (a guest signal per se). If it still will not connect through IE, then i suggest that you reset IE to factory settings through command prompt.
What version of Windows are you running?
 
Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings

Make sure "automatically detect settings" is checked, and uncheck "use a proxy server" if it's checked.

If this fixes your problem then you should also download, update and run Malwarebytes. Usually when these settings get changed without the user knowing it's done by some sort of virus or adware.
