The HDD on my laptop is getting really close being filled and I saw that they have notebook HDD's on newegg for a resonable price. I already have an external, but find that to be a pain in the butt to carry around with me and stuff. My question is, will any 2.5" hard drive fit into any normal laptop? I have a pretty comman laptop (Dell Inspiron 9300) so I'm hoping it will, but is there anything I should be concerned about before buying one? Will it just fit into my computer perfect or is it something I have to buy directly from Dell for a much higher price. My invoice says that it's an Ultra ATA drive and I'm not sure what that means. The HHD's on newegg say stuff like ATA 7 or ATA 6. What's the difference? Also, what brand(s) do you guys recommend for mostly reliability. I don't care so much about noise, just what's gonna give me the best chance of not losing all my crap. Thanks
