Nothing but trouble please help me sort this mess out.

Hi there guy, seems like I have had nothing but trouble since upgrading to this new system so I need some help with my latest drama.

Ok so I think it's motherboard but Ill reserve judgment till I get your opinion. Yesterday weird shit started happening, for starters my USB ports started not working randomly, my keyboard and mouse wouldn't work so I would change what port they are plugged into to get them to work then the ports would be ok after that. The. My ssd OS drive started freezing up and windows continously crashed. Never had problem with this drive before though it is two or three years old now. When I restart my pc it has randomly changed the default boot drive and tells me bootmgr is missing so I have to boot manually each time that is if my hdd even shows up in the bios. So I though maybe the hdd is stuffed and that's causing the problems so I decided to try installing windows to my second ssd. Now I load into windows setup and the drive is not in the list of possible install drives however the drive is present when I try to load drivers. If I attempt a repair I get told the drive is locked. So not I'm stumped.

Can anyone help me out or give me the numbe for the ghost busters?

Then it sounds like its the mobo. You might even want to try a different psu to make sure yours isn't going bad.

Ok start from the beginning:

  1. Remove all overclocks - ALL
  2. Remove any overvolts
  3. Update BIOS if possible
  4. Reset BIOS and set to default - restart
  5. Re-configure basic bios settings (just enough to boot correctly) including:
    • Ensure memory settings (frequency and voltage) are set correctly
    • Set PCIe frequency to 100MHz rather than default
  6. Update all motherboard drivers (including SATA)
  7. Update all Intel Software here
  8. Update Windows
  9. Update video drivers
