Review the users manual that came with the board or go to the support section at the manufacturer's site for troubleshooting this by submitting a request. Since you are not seeing anything onscreen you can't check bios settings leaving the option of clearing the cmos. The problem there may point to a defective board where nothing comes up onscreen even at initial powerup. The video controller would be suspect there. One thing you could try before returning the board would be to borrow a video card to see if the bios is set to that or quickly remove the battery on the board and move the jumper pin back and forth to clear the cmos. If that still fails to see result with no display the board would need to be exchanged.

what color is the light on the monitor? if it's amber, try either reseating the RAM, or trying each RAM 1 by 1, they may have a comflict.

If you hear a single beep right after the initial powerup and see drive lights come on and off as usual your cpu is good. But if you hear something else or see none of that you could have a bad processor or even dead chipset. A friend recently had to go through three boards to get one running due to this. Nothing at all was seen onscreen upon examining the problems seen with those. Some pros+cons after one review on that model can be seen at http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=1449
