I'm building a cheap Core Dual computer.

What do I need to look into when buying a case ?
If the case comes w/ a fan, I won't need the fan on my CPU right ?

Who has the best deal on cases, Newegg ? or who ?

It really depends on your taste but just letting you know, your processor COMES with a fan that goes on it.. see how at the botom of the specs it says "Cooling Device Heatsink and Fan included"

and you averagly need about 2 or 3 good fans to keep your whole pc cool...

Kent.

Yeah I know.
I can choose the same CPU without a fan for $10 cheaper.

Would I be able to use both fans, the fan on the CPU and the fan on the case?

Let me know...
Thanks

They are totally seperate things. The CPU fan that comes with the retail version of the CPU is a heatsink/fan which is needed for cooling the CPU. Just get it. It'll be fine for your needs. Other Heatsink/fan's cost $20+.

You should have at least 2 additional case fans other than the heatsink fan as well.

Is this a good pick, or should I spend some extra bucks for the one that brings a PS.

I personally would want a side window..I like to be ble to look inside. However for a budget case, that is a good one.

That Antec is WAY TOO EXPensive, I'm not spending $95 on a case.
I will use that one as a guideline towards finding a cheaper one.
Thanks

Hey does the POWER SUPPLY have to have the following ????

Modular Cabling Support: No
PCI-E Connectors: No
PFC: No
SLI Support: No

Also, How many FANS should the POWER SUPPLY have ????

I see some PSU with 1 fan, some with 2,and some with 3.

Personally I would stay away from the power supplies that come with the cases. Theres a reason why they make those PSU's free (hint hint) but if you are really tight on the money (and cant afford to save for a little longer) I'd go for it, but try and find a PSU that is stand alone..you will be much happier with it.

It doesn't have to have those, but PCI-E connectors are pretty much a standard now on any half decent PSU's. Active PFC's are common in high end PSU's, and SLI support is just an advertisement thing.

As for number of fans, most high end PSU have 1 120mm fan or 1 to 2 80mm fans. Rarely do PSU's have 3 fans.

I might be this case for $ 66 AR

Will the PSU that it comes with be good enough and sufficient ????

I wouldn't really trust that PSU, it's a no name one.

It will, until it fails. No one can tell you if or when it will fail, but at $16, I wouldn't trust it at all.
