Now Selling on Newegg: ATI 2900XT

Yea, if they lowered the prices on the cards about $50-$80 it would really hurt ATi if the nVidia cards starting selling alot better, that and they perform better for a cheaper price....

Go nVidia!

After looking at the card more...it seems ATi is starting to make their cards different? With higher clock speeds, which i remember they used to be lower clocks but still beat nvidia. That and the flame design, looks to cover up the lack of balls? Is nVidia scaring ATi? That and nVidia beat ATi to the punch by far, other then the 360, which i dont think turned out that great for what it was hyped up to be. My 7300GS puts out better graphics at higher frame rates.

AMD has taken a real punch for their lazyness. Nvidia all the way!! Intel all the way!!

Have you ever wondered why Nintendo didn't compete in graphics when they developed the Wii. The Gamecube competed in graphics, ATI did them, use your imagination:P.

any reviews out on these yet? anybody have one? how are they compared to the 8800s?

There was benchs posted around here somewhere. I dont feel like finding them.

But long story short, the new ATi card sucked something really bad. It couldnt even beat the 8800GTS 320mb. The 8800GTX ran circles around it. Iv always loved nVidia.

HD2900XT beats 8800GTS is some cases and vice versa. So, they are on par...

Even if HD2900XT was slightly better I would still go with 8800GTS, since it produce less noise, consume less power and cheaper.
