After I'm on the coputer for 5 or 6 minutes, everything will just turn a deep yellow. It will then proceed to flicker on and off for the duration of my visit to the land of puters. Is it my GFX card or my monitor? my GFX card is an ATI Radeon 9250, and my monitor is a ViewSonic VA520 LCD.

try the monitor on a different computer to elimainate that from your enquiries. (sorry just watching a police program) if it is the gfx card, id suggest re installing the drivers.

I think it's the ...

I would personally lean towards it being the monitor. I would doubt that your card would behave in such a way.

JAN :D

I just reinstalled the drivers, and that made it worse. The screen now goes dark yellow for minutes at a time, then starts flickering. Dang.

If you have access to another computer, why don't you simply plug out the GFX card, install it there and try it, this seems like the card is having a problem or the drivers are having a problem. If the drivers has an update, try finding it over the internet before judging that the card is going dead.

It's almost certainly the monitor, I have a 10+ year old monitor displays everything with a heavy blue tint that sometimes goes away after a few minutes but it always comes back. Monitors like to display stuff like that when they are starting to die.

either way, it could be caused by heat(not overheating nessisarilly, just something wrong, so with just a high regular heat makes it go wrong) with little things like that(the inside stuff) the ehat could make a little wire rise or something to make a bad conection.

iit happens with ligh fixtures all the time.
