NTL Broadband Cap

I'm part of a student household sharing a broadband connection amongst three other students. Our package provides a paltry 3 GB (33 mb a day each!) and I was wondering if there's any way I can tell how much we have left before we exceed our limit?

If i were you, i would upgrade to the next tier, that way you have 30GB a month, rather then 3GB. Also the 3GB cap is a hard cap, so if you go over it, by even a few MB, they will phone you up or send a letter. Or, you could upgrade to the 10MB broadband, that has a 75GB /month cap.

We're tied to a 12 month contract and we're students - we're looking for ways to *reduce* our expenditure! Would that program need to be installed on every computer or could it measure the total transfer going through the router?
