Okay, it seems like I'm not the only one with this problem:

After the latest Windows XP update, my Dell Latitude D410 started flashing this error at bootup. I assume that a lot of you have seen this before (including me), but none of the conventional fixes work. Not running a fixmbr, not restoring the file from an XP disk, nothing. I thought one of my RAM sticks might have gone bad, but I ran Memtest86 and everything turned out fine. Anyone else having this problem?
