NTYDR error

does anyone know about NTYDR error? because i helped my fren to reformat the window, then what happen was it showing the NTYDR error? (meanwhile i cannot go further into the window)..

but just need to take note that:

1. the window is working: because i take his harddisk and reformat with my computer.. and test it already.. so it's not the harddisk problem..

1. His motherboard is kind of old.. cause using ATA cable and a crappy CD ROM

So it would be pleasure if anyone know the information for NTYDR error.. thanks

Either the motherboard isnt booting the correct drive (one with OS on). Or the HDD with the OS on is missing the NTLDR file. You could put that drive back in your PC, copy the NTLDR file from your XP machine. I think its a hidden file in C:\
