Hello Everyone!
I am getting some RAM soon (when i iwll have some money) and i was thinking of ading another 512 MB.
But i was wondering, could i add someNon voltage RAM with the ones i have?
Here is the description of my RAM : i have 2
hnnix PC3200U-30330 256 MB DDR 400 MHz C13....
so what do you think?

Thx in Advance

I have no idea, but I'll post anyway to keep your topic up, and I'll watch this thread to see what people have to say. Interesting question.

one ting is....if you have them different, the perfomence will not be as high....but i do homeschool, on the computer...and sometime with power failure, you can loose data....so i was wondering.

nv-ram is non-volatile not non voltage. This means it doesn't lose what it's storing when you power off the computer.
Any RAM you buy to add to your system will not be NV-RAM.
Any PC3200/DDR400 should work fine in your system.

sorry about the non-voltage RAM :P .....
So, in oher words.....you can't buy NV-RAMs?

well, i do home school, and sometime when i loose electricity i loose some school work à;d so i do loose some data, and i will be use for me :p

And really, is that performance hit, worth that small of a chance, just press control+save every five minutes.
