NVIDIA and what CPU BRAND

Lets say i was to get an nVidia card and a cpu,

which CPU would work best with nVidia - AMD or INTEL

Intel processors are faster than AMD clock for clock. But if you have a AMD or Intel processor that was equal in performance it makes no difference. A Nvidia card will work just as well with either. If anybody has evidence other wise give me a link.
