Hi there First of all, my specs:

Operating System:Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Build 2600
Service Pack:Service Pack 2
Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo E7200
Mother Board: GIGABYTE EP35-DS3L
Graphics Card:nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (G92GT/D8P)

I Have i problem with my graphics card ( Well i think it is my card), when i start my computer there are like white/grey dots/lines on my screen ( everything displays fine but I have those lines) when my computer boots up and my windows welcome logo appears the lines etc disappear.( i have a fresh copy of windows so there is no graphics drivers, and here the problem begins, when i try to install my graphics drivers they install fine but when i restart my computer it boots up it goes to the windows loading screen( the one with the "snail" as i like to call it) and the the graphics card fans goes to maximum speed and the screen turns black, and then nothing else happens. i have to manually reboot my computer then go to safe mode / uninstall the graphics drivers and then restart and everything works fine, except that i haven't got any drivers.
Any help will be appreciated.

Ya...it sounds like the card is dead. I have seen similar problems before. What kind of card is it? Some card manufacturers have lifetime warranties and you may be able to have them replace it:D

I don't think it has got warranty on it, i believe it was bough on e-bay...any other cheap replacements?

A new card really depends on what power supply you have. My old Dell 375w in an XPS 400 could run an 8800GT. Post what kind of power supply, budget, the wattage of the power supply and the country you are in. That should be enough information to look at new cards.

Test the card out in a friends system, if you can.. If not in a little local shop. Just to make sure its the card. If its not the card, the power supply is pretty much junk.
