Nvidia Mobo support ATI?

Ya there is not point in shelling out the money for an sli mobo if you got ATI. Look into a crossfire board to have the option, or don't get either. But its your choice, teh ATI card will work fine with that mobo.

Well, it is perfectly feasible to use an ATi GPU in an nVidia nForce SLI chipset motherboard, but I see no point in it. You are spending money on an SLI motherboard which you wont use to it's full potential. That said, it's only around $100, so why not?

i think that the ECS is the only one out for AM2 that supports crossfire, there are only 2 AM2 boards with an ATI north bridge and one doesnt have 2 pci-ex16 slots.
you may choose to go with an intel build with a pentium D or comparable processor, i know for a low price tags the X2s are better than the pentium Ds but you may get a nice cheap board that works with crossifre.

in my personal opinion crossfire and sli is a waste of money....you need a huge monitor to really appreciate it most monitors only go to 1280 x 960 res which an x1900 or 7900 card can handle perfectly

and thats the truth, sli is a money hole, costing you more for another card and more for the motherboard, besides it doesnt actually double your power does it it will only increase fps during games slightmly more using SLI than non sli.

I run ATI cards on nForce boards all the time here. If you are simply planning a single card build you shouldn't see any problems with that model card. I currently run an MSI Radeon X1300 Pro on an Asus A8N SLI model board and game the heck out of it.
