NVIDIA or ATI

Can any motherboard have nvidia or ATI graphics card, or are some boards designed for a certain one. Im looking at buying a sli mobo and wanted Nvidia GPU

Well, seeing as SLI is Nvidia, you won't have a problem

Any board will take any GPU. ATI chipsets work with Nvidia cards and vise versa. However, if you want to use crossfire or SLI, you need a board made for it card matching cards. No crossfire with an SLI board and such.

Yeah, I've owned both ATI and nVidea cards and I can't really say one is better than the other.

i must admit i prefer ATI to Nvidia....yeah go on guys call me a fanboy

im waiting on the new DX10 ati card.

There both quite the same ... I'd say buy the one thats best performance for price at the time u buy it(i usually find that nividia is cheaper) oh and SLI is over rated ... you can usually get better performance form 1 better FX card that cost round twice the money.

For me I perfer price over matters. But how ever Nvidia is my fravoit since they never really let me down all these years.
