I've pc with spec:
Motherboard Model 693-596-W977EF
Motherboard Vendor ProTech
Intel Pentium III EB
Win98Se
VIA Chipset
256 SDR RAM
Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64

the problem is two days a go I change the monitor (Philips 15 inch ---> Samsung 15 Inch), when log in to windows, it hang on "windows protection error, need to restart" then i restart but some problem appear...so i reinstall os, also same problem....after view time restart then log in to safemode n delete the graphic card driver....after i restart my pc n log in to windows, it install the standard graphic card...now every time i install Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64 driver it hang after loading windows, it says "There is a problem with your display settings. The adapter type is incorrect, or ther current settings do not work with your hardware."

what does it mean?

is the driver for the Nvidia card you're having trouble with made for win98se? that's the only thing I can think up at the momment. its possible that they're for winXP and that could cause a problem, but im not too sure.

acctually that day i use driver for winxp, maybe that cause the problem...tq for ur advise

It means your computer is extremely outdated and you should probably upgrade.

u mean i have to update windows?
