Bit of a disappointment... I still think the new G92 8 series are the best at the moment!

ati seem to be kicking their heels with the promises of the new 48xx series with 2gb bandwidth on the 4870x2

hopefully nvidia will decide to knock them silly with something totally overkill.

just looking at your sig your gpu temps are dangerous! you should get it looked at , a card needs to be minimum of 45-50 to operate at good performance and yours is well below!!! do you have a warranty?

yeah what??????

well im waiting on the killer new ATI cards to

A) bring down Nvidias prices
B)If they better (than a 8800GTS, i will get one)
C) I can Crossfire down the road...

I think the GTS is the best for price / performance!

What? 25c is an excellent temp for a GPU, it won't damage it, if anything, it's good for it! ;)

lol. www.xtremesystems.org

theyhave cards running at -100oC
cards dont need to be a certain temp to operate normally. they just dont need to be too hot is all.
im at this a long time :D believe me when i say, 25oC -40oC load is perfect.

damn you and your gts!

The 9800GTX has a 256bit memory interface. Unless it's memory is clocked much higher than the 8800GTS(320/640MB)/GTX/Ultra versions which have a 320bit or 384bit interface then of course the memory bandwidth is going to be lower. The 9800GX2 has a 512bit interface and 124GB/s memory bandwidth. The 9800GTX is still better than the 8800 most of the time.

Cromewell, I'd say the 9800GTX is more of a step sideways than forward though, eh?

Yes and no. The 9800GTX is not the high end card so comparing it to last 'generations' high end card isn't really fair. In Crysis it's about on par with an 8800 Ultra. It looks pretty good next to the 8800GTS though.

And on a side note, only I may say 'eh' but to be fair you used it in the right context :P

Why are you always trying to make me feel bad? :(

Haha! :P Thanks!
