Ok I wanna know how hard it would be to OC an HP m7667c-b pc. Yes I know it's a locked mobo and they are not made for overclocking but I'm getting a very good deal on it so don't just suggest a new mobo. about how much power do you think I could squeeze out of it. by the way it's a e6400 core 2 duo 2.13ghz.

Clockgen has been known to unlock laptop overclocking so yeah, it might just overclock it.

realy?
i didnt know that:)

i tried clockgen on mine but the sliders to overclock were greyed out so they could not be moved:D

Indeed it works, I am working on my bros compaq POS. Took the 3.2 celron out and put a P4 3.0 GHz in it only read it as 2.79 but was able to overclock'd it with clock gen to 3.20 :)! *I got the P4 for free today so I am a happy cookie!*

not to worry its never hurts to buy an after market fan even out of the one that came with your CPU box.

But i read somewhere that when you overclocking on an hp, it cant hit over 3ghz with clockengine. 3ghz is proberly enough anyway.

Pslee, my brothers running a crap compaq, I don't have a program to test the temps, however I have the door open and listen to the fan. This past hour I have ran AIM, World of Warcraft, and Windows Media Player. No issues so yes it wouldn't hurt to get more fans. However I'm not really running into super temp issues :P
