Hey guys.

Just brought a new machine. But my old one is a AMD 32bit Athlon 2000+ I think it runs at 1.6ghz, is there any luck with oc these to say 2ghz without cooling systems?

I had an old laptop(well, desknote) that used an Athlon XP. I was able to get it to 1.8GHz if I recall correctly. Assuming you have decent cooling and a mobo that supports it, you should be able to hit 2.0GHz or right around it... I can't recall if they have locked multiplies...but I think there are hacks around that too.

So you got 1.8 in a laptop (which I assume are terrible for temps) Hmmm so I should be pretty good to get 2ghz after I remove it all and get rid of 7 years of dust lol.

did u use a program to OC your 2000. cos i want to OC my old 2400 but i need a program to do it.
if u used a program what did u use
