OCing RAM and GPU

If I OC my RAM will my PC go faster?
If I OC my GPU will games run faster?

Also is there a program for OCing my CPU instead of going into the BIOS settings?

1. OCing your RAM will not give you a performance boost unless you OC your CPU along with it. Your RAM is controlled by your CPU so just upping the DDR divider wont do anything.
2.It mostly depends on your graphics card and how much you overclock it. Many older cards dont OC very good and may only gain you 2-3 FPS while gaming. Newer cards like my X800PRO and the Geforce 6s overclock pretty good and can add as much as 10-30 FPS in games. Graphics cards are only overclockable using software, hardmods are only for very experienced overclockers.

To OC your graphics card use Coolbits since you have a nVidia card. If you ever get an ATi card, ATiTool is a good overclocker. ATiTool is also supposed to support nVidia cards so you might want to try that anyways.

If you're not comfortable OCing with your BIOS, you might not want to even try overclocking at all. Software overclocking programs aren't meant to be a permanent solution and are only used by overclockers to test out an overclock without continually restarting their computer.

yes, if you pick the wrong board bad things will happen
most likely if you pick the wrong one, when you try to run it, it will say "wrong chipset". (i've done this many times with my old board, lol)

Best way to OC your CPU is in BIOS, best way to OC an ATI card is to use ATI Tool. And by raising your FSB in BIOS your also overclocking your RAM.

And i notice a big improvement from stock and when i oc'ed my gpu.

I tried clock gen out once to see what all the hype was about. Using the one for my board cases my machine to hard lock, so I assume (can anyone tell me exactly what happens? :)) that the wrong one will at best do the same.

Well i wanted to find a version that i could use with my ASRock motherboard, i downloaded almost every version of clockgen and everytime i tried to run it, it said something like "Incorrect chipset found".
