OCZ Vertex 2 SSD problems

Just got my new OCZ Vertex 2 SSD drive a few hours but I'm having some problems setting it up.

The drive shows up and appears to be working fine in device manager, bios and in the Intel RST manger program but it does not appear in my computer or disk management. I've installed the latest Intel RST drivers to no avail. My mobo is currently set to RAID which should enable AHCI by default so that shouldn't be the problem either. I've run out of ideas so any help will be greatly appreciated!

System:
Windows 7 x64
Mobo: ga-p35-ds3p
I have two other HDD's set up in RAID 0
Intel q6600 CPU

I don't think any other specs will be relevant but if any more info is needed just ask.

Are you installing this as a second drive? If so, you would need to initialize it through disk management. Or do you not need to do that with SSD drives?
 
Hey guys I managed to fix the problem by creating a volume on it through diskpart which made disk management finally recognize the drive existed, so the rest I could do from there.

Thanks for the help anyway though :)
