Hey chaps,

Right for some reason,With my 2x OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB SSDs in Raid 0 they dont perform very well together and i dont know why!

When i just use one of the SSDs on their own,The read/write speed are 240+ and access time is 0.1ms which is all good.
But as you can see from the shot above,In raid 0 its really slow and access time has gone down.

My motherboard is Gigabyte P55-US3L

Installed the latest Raid drivers,Chiset drivers etc....set to Raid/ACHI in BIOS.

Appreciate the help! :)

It looks like you have the drives on the Gigabyte controller (it's a jmicron chip that sits on a PCIe lane and gives you more IO ports). If possible try moving the drives to the H55 controlled ports.

Hi crom,

Turns out my motherboard does not support RAID on the Intel controller,Only on the crappy Gigabyte SATA (jmicron) so unless i buy a raid card i wont get any decent performance.

No going to bother getting a raid card though,Il just stick to having 2 individual SSDs on their own,one for windows and the other for a couple of games.
one ssd alone is fast enough,I was just been greedy. :D

Thanks anyway. :)

Sorry, I didn't look at the board description that closely, I thought your chipset provided Intel RAID but it's an H55 not a P55 :(

I wish Gigabyte would name their boards better :P
